Delcious

Hurrah! exam number one is out of the way so my mind can rest on more creative things. Sorry for the brief hiatus. I'm not sure about you, but the revision period for me involves lots time spent in the kitchen of an eve. It's here I can relax, take my time and try out something new.  Here is a round up of my favourite go-to foodie blogs, pleasing to the eye as well as the stomach! (why am I talking in slogans?).

1. 101 Cookbooks
2. Coco & Me
3. Smitten Kitchen
4. Nectar

Loaf

The Starter from Old Dead Eye on Vimeo.

Loaf is a Birmingham based social enterprise that started back in 2009. It is the brain child of Tom Baker who runs a cookery school from his home, baking amazing loaves of locally sourced flour in an earth oven! You can also subscribe to the bakery, collecting a fresh loaf each Friday evening - an idea based on the American Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model. At the minute they are refurbishing an old snooker club on the Stirchley High Street in the hope of opening a new shop. Check out the short doc below by Old Dead Eye, it will get you kneading in no time ...

Weekend Food

image taken from 101 Cookbooks

Ever since Lara introduced me to the Marmite and avocado combo, I have been attempting to convince others of it's salty greatness. Sadly I have not been able to tempt many followers, though I think this other avocado based brunch would definitely go down well. Perfect Saturday fodder from 101 Cookbooks me thinks ...
But where did I put the pepitas??
